Cultural Preservation Programs

As part of our mission to promote quality education in the Himalayan region, the Butterfly Help Project is equally committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the communities we serve. Alongside our educational efforts, we proudly launched the Ghunsa School Culture Conservation Programme at Ghunsa School—an initiative designed to inspire students to value, celebrate, and safeguard their unique cultural identity.

Through a variety of interactive and meaningful activities, this program aimed to strengthen the bond between education and tradition, ensuring that cultural pride grows hand in hand with academic progress.

Proudly carrying forward the spirit of culture.

Embracing culture with pride — in Gunyo Cholo and Dhaka Topi

Understanding the deep value of cultural identity, we have now expanded our cultural preservation efforts to Shree Lungthung Basic School. As part of this initiative, we proudly handed over Damgya—a significant symbol of Sherpa heritage—to the school. We are also organizing cultural programs to encourage students to embrace, celebrate, and preserve their unique traditions with pride.

At the Butterfly Help Project, we believe that true development lies in nurturing both knowledge and heritage. With this understanding, we have carried out such initiatives and remain deeply committed to continuing them in the days to come—for a future where learning and culture thrive together in harmony.
